My fiancée wanted a classical ring that would also stand the trends and fads that come and go. I wanted something a bit more personal. As both of our grandma's are no longer with us, I opted to have gold from both of them repurposed into our engagement ring (and eventually our wedding bands) to commemorate and acknowledge the impact they had on our lives. This piece would eventually be passed down to our children and their children, etc. Kat did an excellent job in designing the perfect ring for my fiancée, a hidden halo with a beautiful radiant and a thin band. We added another personal touch, adding both of our birthstones to the inside of the band, solidifying our commitment to one another.

"...I flew to Toronto without Monica knowing for a day to meet with her father"

I (Chandler) wanted to propose to my now wife (Monica) and wanted to find a local jeweller that I could work with for the rest of my life. After doing some googling I came across Marlow Design and he was available to meet same day with me and my mother. Marlow not only helped me design the perfect engagement ring but he also helped me find the perfect diamond within my budget.

After the ring was made I wanted to make sure my future family had a strong connection. So I flew to Toronto without Monica knowing for a day to meet with her father for lunch. At the lunch I was able to show him the ring as well as ask for his blessing. Two weeks later Monica and I got engaged at Black Rock storm resort in B.C. with the ocean in the background. In that moment I was able to tell Monica that only me and her father have seen the engagement ring. After we returned from our trip Monica and I went to get her ring resized and Monica fell in love with the building. About two years later we got married in the Hemingway Room. We want to thank Marlow and Marlow Design for being a part of our love story. The engagement ring is what made this entire story happen.
